Haven Island on Lake Winter

Our family had a wonderful time at your lake house! We had a large group and there was plenty of room for us all. We really liked how clean everything was, inside and out. They also took special attention to keeping mosquitoes at bay as they did not bother us at all. We brought spray but never used it. That was really nice. The communication with the host was second to none as they went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. The pontoon was very well kept and the motor ran flawlessly, we had a great time cruising the water. So private! With trails to walk in a loop behind the house gave an outlet for those wanting to walk off a little energy. Also, it was a big plus having our two little dogs along who enjoyed their time as well. It was nice having them off-leash as we were on an island and knew they wouldn't get lost. Thank you Jaci, (the host) and to the owners for sharing your place with us. The cottage is super comfortable and met our every expectation with plenty of room for 8. It is well thought out with plenty of supplies as promised. The boat is outstanding, ran perfectly and was also very comfortable and in the best shape of any boat we have rented in the past. Outstanding! With games inside and the fire circle for s'mores and a clever fold up net system for playing badminton or beachball volley ball the kids had plenty to do. We also brought a swimming mat and the kids spent a lot of time swimming off it. Fishing is good. the kids caught northern pike, lots of bass from boat and tons of panfish off the dock Jaci, the host was super responsive to any queries and very positive in her approach. Haven Island is awesome. We had a great stay and all the extras the island provided surprised us. Our whole group said it was one of the best places to stay. Most relaxing and enjoyable!!

My family of 11 ranging from ages 12-80 plus dogs had a wonderful time at Haven Island. We only look for rentals with privacy and nothing will ever compare to this. We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat, pontoon for fishing, campfires, and common space for family games. The house was plenty big enough for our group.
